WHAT YEAR IS MY GOLF CAR What Year is My Club Car? To find the serial number for your Club Car look just under the glove box on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The first two numbers (not letters) indicate the last two digits of the year the vehicle was manufactured. On Club Car Golf Carts older than 1981, you can find the serial number by raising the seat and finding the aluminum, I-beam frame section closest to the batteries on the driver's side of the car. If the serial number plate has been removed, then look to see if you vehicle has two brake pedals, if so then your Club Car was manufactured between 1075 and 1980. EZGO Medalist and TXT models (1994 to present) The serial number and manufacturer's number for these EZGO golf cart models can be found on a plate located inside the glove box on the passenger's side of the vehicle. The serial number will be either six or seven numbers and does not indicate the model year. The manufacturer's number does reflect the manufactured year of your EZGO. This series will have one letter and three or four numbers which will include two numbers indicating the last two digits of the year it was manufactured. EZGO Marathon models (1976 to 1993) The serial number and manufacturer's number for these EZGO golf cart models can be found on a plate located under the glove box on the passenger's side of the vehicle. The serial number does not indicate the model year. The manufacturer's number does reflect the model year of you EZGO. This series of numbers and letters will have one letter and three or four numbers which will indicate the last two digits of the year it was manufactured. EZGO Golf Carts (prior to 1976) To determine if your EZGO is older that 1976 look for a serial number on the fender skirt under the driver seat. Tomberlin 2007 to Present The Vehicle Identification Number or VIN number is located on several metal plates fastened on the car and will identify the correct model year of your Tomberlin. The first plate can be found on beneath the steering column on the driver side of the vehicle. The second plate can be found on the dash board next to the windshield on the driver side of the vehicle and the last plate can be found by lift the seat and locating the silver VIN plate fastened to the vehicles frame. The year of you Tomberlin can be determined by finding the 10th digit from the left. Global Electric Motor Cars (GEM Car) You can determine the year of you GEM easily by located the VIN# on the label affixed to the roof behind the driver or passengers head. Each low-speed vehicle shall be equipped with: • Headlamps • Front and rear turn signal lamps • Tail lamps • Stop lamps • Reflex reflectors: one red on each side as far to the rear as practicable, and one red on the rear • An exterior mirror mounted on the driver's side of the vehicle and either an exterior mirror mounted on the passenger's side of the vehicle or an interior mirror, • Parking brake • A windshield that conforms to the Federal motor vehicle safety standard on glazing materials (49 CFR 571.205) • A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) that conforms to the requirements of part 565 Vehicle Identification Number of this chapter • Type 1 or Type 2 seat belt assembly conforming to § 571.209 of this part, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 209, Seat belt assemblies, installed at each designated seating position. |
